# slackware.lngn.net/pub/README.md ## Repository main site: https://slackware.lngn.net/pub/ ### mirror: https://slackware.uk/people/r0ni/ This document attempts to explain the layout and design of the repos available under my name. Firstly, there is more than a single repo here. Most everything is for -current, except a single repo 'gcs38' which is GNOME 3.38 for Slackware-15.0. The kde6 repos are separate from the main repo. I'd recommend using slackpkg+ to use the kde6, kde6-unstable, & lxqt repositories. I've had to separate them as they overwrite official packages and causes confusion for users not trying to upgrade KDE. The main repo can be used with slackpkg+ or I recommend to use slpkg (which there are packages available for). Everything except KDE6 has dependencies by way of the 'slack-required' file included in the packages. slpkg can and will install things properly and can save you downloading unwanted packages. If you don't want to use slpkg, slackpkg+ can install/remove things by the directory name. Use whatever package manager you are comfortable with. There is only a single ChangeLog per arch, except for the kde6-unstable repo, as it's an overlay to the kde6 repo, it also has it's own ChangeLog to go with it. My website lists the URLs to put into your slackpkg+ config to utilize each repo, I'm not going to mirror all that content here, but you can replace the URL with this mirror to use them as well. Please consult [https://slackware.lngn.net](https://slackware.lngn.net/) for configuration of the repositories. Any questions, you can find me on irc libera ##slackware or efnet #slackware for real-time (if I'm available) or you can email me at j at lngn dot net with any questions as well.
