**SlackDCE Manifesto** ------------------------------------------ Sun, Jan 7, 2024 10:26:18 -03 ------- In our commitment to the principles of transparency, collaboration, and adherence to the Slackware philosophy, we present the following manifesto for SlackDCE, a repository dedicated to 64-bit Slackware 15.0. **Repository Details** - The repository is exclusively dedicated to 64-bit Slackware 15.0. **Package Origin** - All packages within the repository are meticulously crafted using SlackBuild files as a foundation. **Availability of Source Code** - The source code for the packages comes from the respected platform https://slackbuilds.org/. **Automatic Updates** - SlackDCE performs updates every 1st day of each month. This is done because, during server updates, the CHECKSUMS.md5 file is not processed, which would result in verification errors when installing a package. **Dynamic Reflection of Changes** - Any addition or removal of a program in SlackBuild is immediately reflected in SlackDCE. **Collaboration Protocol** - Potential collaborators are encouraged to follow the guidelines detailed at https://slackbuilds.org/guidelines/. After the successful creation and activation of a program in SlackBuild, it is automatically incorporated into SlackDCE. **Inclusive Package Selection** - SlackDCE strictly adheres to the principle of not including programs that are not present in the SlackBuild repository. **Limited Liability** - SlackDCE assumes no responsibility for the use or any damage resulting in the system or hardware caused by the programs it hosts. **Unaltered Compilation** - Programs in SlackDCE are compiled exactly as they exist in the original SlackBuild repository https://slackbuilds.org/repository/15.0/. **Error Acknowledgment** - In the rare event of missing programs due to discontinued download links or errors in .SlackBuild files, such discrepancies are beyond the control of SlackDCE. By upholding these principles, SlackDCE strives to provide a reliable and transparent platform for the Slackware community, fostering collaboration and the unaltered availability of quality software. ## The scripts generating this repository are written by me, and as such, I reserve the right not to make them public at this time.
