This file gives an overview of the default keys most used with speakup. Only keys located on the numeric keypad are used. A real numeric keypad is easier to use, one can buy an USB keyboard or just a numeric keypad. The Insert or 0 key on the keypad acts like a shift key. For instance, Ins4 means "hold down the Insert key like a shift key and hit 4". Keep numlock off to use Speakup. 1/2/3 Say Previous/Current/Next character 4/5/6 Say Previous/Current/Next word Ins5 Spell current word 7/8/9 Say Previous/Current/Next line Ins4 Say from left edge of line to reading cursor. Ins6 Say from reading cursor to right edge of line. Ins8 Say from top of screen to reading cursor. Ins+ Say from reading cursor line to bottom of screen. + Say entire screen. Enter Shut up (until another key is hit) and sync reading cursor. InsEnter Shut up (until toggled back on) InsF1 Speakup Help (press Space to exit)
