Welcome to iStream:

  iStream is a simple GNOME panel applet that lets you play internet
  radio streams (local files work too). It uses Gstreamer for playback.

Install:

  you need:

    *gstreamer 0.10.11 or later
    *base-plugins
    *good-plugins
    *XTest extension for IRC support>  (if you want IRC support)

  ./configure
  make
  make install  (root)

  to restart the gnome-panel kill it with "xkill"
   
  To add the applet to the panel: 
  Right Click on the Gnome panel->"Add to Panel"->Select "iStream"
  
Configure:

  The radio stations are read from "~/.istream" file. iStream will create
  an example file on first start. To add a new stream put a new line on
  the end of the file.


Usage:
  
  Clicking on the speaker button will start the current stream. Click again to stop.
  The right icon will open a menu to choose a radio station.

  For detailed song information use the tooltip window.

  To announce the current song title in IRC (all programs) give the windows focus to
  your IRC program and select "Announce title in IRC" from the right click menu.
