Beyond being if requested accessible through braille and/or speech, the added packages provide:
- The ability to easily generate an initramfs for a new kernel of version <version> typing just
  installed typing as root: dracut --kver <version> then updating the boot loader typing update-grub.
  The microcode for your CPU is loaded early to mitigate security flaws.
- The ability to remove stale (not in use) kernel{,-header,-sources} packages running clean-kernels. 

The slint-scripts provide these utilities, to be run as root:
clean_kernels (see above)
list_boot_entries (displays the GRUB boot menu as it will show on next boot. Ttry also grub-emu) 
login-chooser (easily switch between run level3 (start in a console) and 5 (graphical login manager) 
speak-with (select a hard or the soft speech synthesizer)
speakup-restore (restore saved settings of hard or soft speech synthesizers)
speakup-save (save current settings of hard or soft speech synthesizers)

Also these utilities, to be run as regular user:
list-espeak-ng-voices (list espeak-ng voices)
spd-list (list speech-dispatcher features)

These utilities have no man page or option, but just running them no harm will be done.
